JUNCTION CITY, Ore.--Highline Motorcoach Manufacturer Country Coach announced the launch of an entirely new product line. Named Country Coach Veranda, this new coach line-up will offer multiple models of luxury diesel motorcoaches, each designed to integrate the company’s new patent-pending Veranda innovation.
This feature opens the motorcoach’s interior living space to outside air and light, and unifies the interior and exterior living area. Essentially a steel deck with railings that is created when a section of the coach sidewall is lowered, the Veranda living area is separated from the coach interior by a 12-foot expanse of hurricane-rated sliding glass doors that easily slide open to join the spaces. This revolutionary new concept allows for myriad floorplan configurations.
Jay Howard, company president and CEO, commented “The Veranda is designed to upgrade each of our owners’ experience. Motorcoach enthusiasts visit the most beautiful locations across North America. Now, with the push of a button, they instantly upgrade to a private balcony with a view.”
The Country Coach Veranda is currently in limited production, and made a huge splash during its motorcoach market debut at the Family Motor Coach Association International Convention in St. Paul, Minnesota in early July. While production volume will increase into the fall in response to anticipated demand, the company expects demand to far outstrip supply.
Jim Howard, company senior vice president, Sales & Service, noted the positive initial response. “Pre-released information on the Veranda line has been very well-received by industry insiders, media, dealers and customers alike. In fact, Motorhome Magazine cleared the cover of their August issue to feature the Veranda, with a glowing review.”
Dr. Howard is currently finalizing the Country Coach Veranda dealer network, which is expected to include Country Coach dealers throughout North America.
The official market launch of the Country Coach Veranda line was July 1st, 2008, and was marked by the activation of the information and media-intensive veranda.countrycoach.com website.
Company CEO Jay Howard stressed that the Country Coach Veranda brand will live and thrive in concert with the established and popular quad-slide Country Coach motorcoaches. That being said, he has high expectations for the Country Coach Veranda brand. “It has been rewarding to witness a concept I envisioned 18 months ago result in this extraordinary coach line we now call the ‘Veranda.’ I’m very proud of our R&D and Engineering people. They have far exceeded my expectations.”
Located in Junction City, Oregon, in 2008 Country Coach celebrates 35 years building highline Class A diesel motorcoaches within four brand divisions. These include Country Coach Motorcoaches, Country Coach Veranda, Country Coach Bus Conversions and DynoMax Chassis.

Is this a practical floor plan? Who will this coach appeal to?
